West Wickham Singers
I created West Wickham Singers in August 2021 in response to the challenges posed by the Covid pandemic, a period marked by isolation and a significant lack of music-making opportunities for so many of us.
Over the years, I have had the pleasure of conducting various types of choirs, including Male Voice Choirs and Mixed Choirs, as well as training Opera Choruses and teaching and coaching aspiring opera singers.
My primary aim for West Wickham Singers is to provide a warm, welcoming, and friendly social environment where individuals can truly develop their vocal potential and musical skills. Together, we learn to sing beautiful melodies, and we take great delight in using what we have learned to entertain the local community, creating moments of joy and happiness, especially during our care home visits. Additionally, we enjoy putting on concerts in local churches to showcase our progress and talents, and we love dining out in local restaurants, where we often sing between the courses for extra fun.
To encourage new members to join us, we offer two free rehearsals for potential singers to experience our group and atmosphere before committing.
